K2 Fast-Track
Expedition

K2 isn’t nicknamed “the savage mountain” for nothing. The world’s second highest peak is arguably the toughest challenge in mountaineering. For a long time it was considered unconquerable, and most climbers will still leave at least 60 days for a summit bid. At Elite Exped, we understand that such timescales are often incompatible with modern, professional careers, which is why we launched our fast-track K2 expedition. We can help you conquer the savage mountain in half the time.

Aimed at climbers who’ve made an ascent of at least one 8,000er, and are already highly proficient in mountaineering - including moving safely in rock, glacier and snowy terrain.

Climb K2 like a record breaker

Our leaders Nimsdai, Mingma David and Mingma Tenzi will be forever associated with K2 because of their world first winter ascent in January 2021. But their connection to the world’s second highest mountain stretches back before that remarkable feat.

Mingma David led the rope-fixing team on K2 twice, leading to successful summits both times, and of course, Nimsdai summited the savage mountain as part of his ‘Project Possible’ push in 2019, when he climbed all 14 x 8,000ers in record time.

Elite Exped's K2 Fast-Track program leverages Nimsdai's successful strategy, offering a streamlined 29-day itinerary. This fast-paced approach prioritises meticulous planning and in-house execution. We keep close control on everything from setting up tents to fixed ropes to the summit, ensuring everything is ready upon your arrival for maximum efficiency.

This fast-paced approach doesn't compromise safety. To participate, you must have previously summited an 8,000-meter peak. We guarantee a 1:1 guide-to-climber ratio and maintain a reserve team of four experienced guides for emergencies. Our guides are not only expert climbers but also certified mountain rescue professionals. We have comprehensive evacuation plans with immediate helicopter access, ensuring the highest level of safety throughout your climb.

To maximise your chances of success, we will also provide hypoxic training services for eight weeks beforehand at the Altitude Center - the UK’s best training centre. You’ll also join the group later, after everything is set up and the team is ready for the acclimatisation push. This eliminates the wait period at Base Camp experienced by the standard group.

Conquering K2 is a legendary feat, and the Fast-Track program is designed for those who share Nimsdai and Mingma David's drive to achieve the seemingly impossible. If your dream is to stand atop this "savage mountain," we'll be by your side, climbing with you every step of the way, all while prioritising a safe and efficient expedition.

Why choose
Elite Exped?

Unparalleled
leadership

Nimsdai Purja, Mingma David Sherpa’s and Mingma Tenzi’s mountaineering groundbreaking records speak for themselves, but our leaders are more than just supremely talented climbers.

While some choose to direct operations from back office, our three directors lead from the front. Their experience in every aspect of guiding and climbing — from fixing ropes to organising logistics — is unparalleled. It's no surprise that they have the industry-leading success rate when it comes to summiting 8,000m peaks.

Beyond this, our handpicked team of guides have also chalked up dozens of successful summits between them.

Safety through
self-sufficiency

If it’s controllable we control it: this is key to attaining and maintaining our industry-leading strategy for success and safety.

We maximise our options, agility and responsiveness by running self-sufficient expeditions that don’t rely on any other teams to achieve our objectives.

Our team is capable of setting up our own fixed lines (with a proven track record on all 8,000m peaks) and has backups to cover all scenarios. These include everything from secondary oxygen supplies to the ability and experience to operate our own rescue missions if the situation arises.

A unique
perspective

With his Nepalese roots and UK residency, our co-founder Nimsdai Purja brings a unique perspective and an unparalleled ability to bridge the gap between Western and Himalayan climbing cultures.

We can assemble trusted teams and networks anywhere in the world, but our founders’ roots are a particular advantage when it comes to summiting the world’s very highest peaks.

An intimate knowledge of how things work on the ground ensures that everything runs smoothly when you’re 8,000m above sea-level.

8000m Peaks

Characterized by its sharp, picturesque peak, Manaslu dominates the Mansiri-Himal subrange of the Himalayas. First summited by a Japanese team in 1956, the world’s eighth-highest mountain has a long association with Japanese climbers, but among Europeans remains one of the less well-known peaks. Reaching the summit at 8,163m is a serious undertaking, but one that Elite Exped is ideally equipped to help you achieve.
