Climb like a record-breaker, to the top of the world

Elite Exped’s experience on the world’s highest mountain is unparalleled. Our leaders Nimsdai and Mingma David have set multiple world records on its slopes, including several for climbing at speed. Based on Nimsdai’s own approach to summiting the world’s highest mountain, operating at speed, and attaining objectives in double-quick time, our unique Fast-Track Everest expedition enables clients to reach the summit in just 29 days, a full month faster than our standard Everest exped. To ensure that the highest safety standards are maintained, this package is only open to clients who’ve previously summited at least one 8,000m peak.

Our record for climbing at speed has been proven time and again, most notably during Nimsdai’s 2019 Project Possible push. But our industry-leading expertise in the Himalayas isn’t based on speed alone - it’s been accumulated over long years of guiding on these mountains in all conditions. Our handpicked team of guides have chalked up dozens of successful summits of Everest between them. They also have years of experience fixing ropes on the route, as well as working as Icefall Doctors - arguably the most difficult job of all, establishing and maintaining routes through the ever-changing Khumbu Icefall.

Elite Exped’s extensive experience means we are able to operate entirely independently. Rather than relying on others, we control every aspect of the expedition, to ensure that we achieve the highest standards without compromising on safety. Controlling the controllable means we can also ensure that everything is in place before you arrive, enabling you reach your objective more rapidly.

Our founders’ Nepalese heritage and ability to bridge the gap between Western and Himalayan climbing cultures allows us to run every aspect of our operation smoothly, without fear of misunderstandings. The success of our approach is evident in our founder Nimsdai’s own achievements, including his 100 percent success rate on 8,000m climbs.

As well as being highly-skilled mountaineers, our guides have extensive experience of conducting high-altitude rescue operations. We have evacuation plans and accessible helicopter rescue in place for emergencies and we operate a guaranteed 1:1 guide to client ratio on all our expeditions, with four extra guides always on standby, ready to help out at a moment’s notice. No-one can cater for every eventuality in the world’s most extreme environments, but we can guarantee that you will be in the safest possible hands should something unexpected happen.

In addition, to maximise your success chances, we will also provide expedition members in this group with hypoxic training services for eight weeks before the expedition date. Clients will be receiving kits from the UK's number 1 altitude training specialists with full details on how to set up the kits, online consultation and individual training programmes tailored to your Everest Fast-Track.

Your program also involves preparation by sleeping in a hypoxic tent. This will ensure that you are able to have a better rest and recover at lower oxygen levels as per the expedition conditions.

We don’t see our clients as clients - we see them as friends and fellow high-achievers. People who, like us, have made chasing their dreams a priority, taking time out of their demanding work schedules to do so. We know why you climb because we feel the same way. That means we’ll make sure no stone is left unturned in our quest to help you achieve those dreams in double-quick time. We know how it feels to stand on top of the world. It’s our dream to be able to share that with you.

Frequently asked questions

The following frequently asked questions may help answer any queries you have about Elite Exped, what this expedition involves, and what is required. If your question isn’t answered here please check our dedicated FAQ support page, otherwise don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Will Nims or Mingma David be my guide?

Nimsdai and Mingma David will personally guide many of our expeditions, but they cannot, unfortunately, be present on every Elite Exped trip. They are incredibly hands-on with the preparation and planning of all our operations, however. Every expedition we undertake is based on their expedition plans, tried and tested during Project Possible and their other record-breaking feats.

Why choose
Elite Exped?

Nimsdai Purja, Mingma David Sherpa’s and Mingma Tenzi’s mountaineering groundbreaking records speak for themselves, but our leaders are more than just supremely talented climbers.

While some choose to direct operations from back office, our three directors lead from the front. Their experience in every aspect of guiding and climbing — from fixing ropes to organising logistics — is unparalleled. It's no surprise that they have the industry-leading success rate when it comes to summiting 8,000m peaks.

Beyond this, our handpicked team of guides have also chalked up dozens of successful summits between them.

Safety through

If it’s controllable we control it: this is key to attaining and maintaining our industry-leading strategy for success and safety.

We maximise our options, agility and responsiveness by running self-sufficient expeditions that don’t rely on any other teams to achieve our objectives.

Our team is capable of setting up our own fixed lines (with a proven track record on all 8,000m peaks) and has backups to cover all scenarios. These include everything from secondary oxygen supplies to the ability and experience to operate our own rescue missions if the situation arises.

A unique

With his Nepalese roots and UK residency, our co-founder Nimsdai Purja brings a unique perspective and an unparalleled ability to bridge the gap between Western and Himalayan climbing cultures.

We can assemble trusted teams and networks anywhere in the world, but our founders’ roots are a particular advantage when it comes to summiting the world’s very highest peaks.

An intimate knowledge of how things work on the ground ensures that everything runs smoothly when you’re 8,000m above sea-level.

Combo Packages

Mount Everest is undoubtedly on the bucket list of every climber. Who wouldn't want to conquer the highest mountain on the planet? But the most dedicated and skilled mountaineers won’t want to stop there, of course, which is where Elite Exped’s combo packages come in. This expedition offers you the chance to bag two 8,000m summits - the first and fourth-highest mountains in the world - in a single climbing season. For high achievers, goals don’t come much greater than this.

K2 isn’t nicknamed “the savage mountain” for nothing. The world’s second highest peak is arguably the toughest challenge in mountaineering. For a long time it was considered unconquerable, and most climbers will still leave at least 60 days for a summit bid. At Elite Exped, we understand that such timescales are often incompatible with modern, professional careers, which is why we launched our fast-track K2 expedition. We can help you conquer the savage mountain in half the time.

8000m Peaks

K2 isn’t nicknamed “the savage mountain” for nothing. The world’s second-highest peak is arguably the toughest challenge in mountaineering. For a long time, it was considered unconquerable and the number of successful expeditions was very low.
