From Porter to Peak Conqueror Yukta's passion for the mountains ignited in him an unwavering determination to scale the highest summits. His journey began as a porter and trekker cook, where he immersed himself in the mountain environment, absorbing its challenges and allure. It was only a matter of time before he would transition from assisting others to becoming a mountaineer himself.

The Milestones of a Rising Star In 2014, Yukta Gurung achieved a significant milestone in his mountaineering career by summiting his first Himalayan peak, Everest. This accomplishment marked the beginning of his ascent to even greater heights.

Yukta's dedication extends beyond the pursuit of personal glory. In 2015, he played a crucial role in earthquake disaster relief efforts in Nepal, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of his homeland and its people.

Guiding and Conquering Yukta Gurung's transformation into a climbing guide was a natural progression of his mountaineering journey. His guiding expertise has taken clients to the summits of iconic peaks, including Everest, Ama Dablam, and even mountains in China. His ability to lead and inspire others on challenging expeditions showcases his skills as a guide and mentor.

The Summit Conqueror Yukta's climbing resume is a testament to his remarkable achievements. He has summited Everest an impressive seven times, a feat that requires not just skill but incredible mental and physical fortitude. Furthermore, he conquered the mighty K2 twice, with one remarkable ascent completed in just 24 hours, a testament to his mountaineering prowess.

In the pursuit of the famed 8000-meter peaks, Yukta Gurung has scaled eleven out of the fourteen, illustrating his dedication to conquering the world's highest summits.

Training & Achievments

Yukta Gurung's remarkable journey in mountaineering is not only defined by his impressive achievements but also by his unwavering commitment to training and skill development. His dedication to honing his craft has not only made him a seasoned mountaineer but also a beacon of inspiration for aspiring climbers.

Yukta's path to mastery began with foundational training. In 2009, he embarked on the Basic Mountaineering Training Course and the Trekking Guide Course, establishing a strong base for his future endeavors. These courses provided him with essential knowledge and skills, laying the groundwork for his ascent in the mountaineering world.

In 2010, Yukta Gurung delved deeper into his training, undertaking the Hill Walking and Mountain Navigation Course. This program equipped him with the vital ability to navigate the intricate terrains of the Himalayas, a skill crucial for any mountaineer.

Recognizing the significance of safety in high-altitude environments, Yukta dedicated 2011 to High Mountain Rescue Training. This specialized training equipped him with the expertise needed to navigate the challenges of mountaineering while prioritizing the well-being of climbers and rescuers alike.

As his mountaineering journey progressed, Yukta Gurung sought to advance his expertise further. In 2015 and 2016, he enrolled in Advanced Mountaineering Training, a comprehensive program that undoubtedly refined his skills in technical climbing, rescue operations, and high-altitude survival. These advanced courses were a testament to his dedication to continuous improvement.

Yukta Gurung's training and dedication have translated into extraordinary achievements in the world's highest mountains. With a remarkable seven successful summits of Mount Everest and two triumphant ascents of K2, he has proven his mettle on the world's most challenging peaks. Moreover, his conquest of 11 out of the 14 8000-meter peaks demonstrates his remarkable resilience and mountaineering prowess.
